Close on the heels of Nissan recalling 9,000 vehicles of its India-made hatchback Micra and sedan Sunny, yet another Japanese carmaker, Honda Cars India, initiated recall of its vehicles in India. Honda Cars India on Monday said it will carry out preventive replacement of the driver side air bag inflator of 1,040 Brio, 1,235 Amaze and 63 CR-V units manufactured between September 2011 and July 2014. The recall is part of a global replacement exercise to ensure stringent quality standards for its products, the carmaker said in a press statement. It added that there has been no report of any incident related to this part in India. Replacement will be done for free at its dealerships across India.
