AirAsia India has started building human resources for the smooth take off its Indian operations. It has kickstarted the process of hiring flight attendants for its flight operations. The low-cost airline has asked candidates to attend a walk-in interview in Chennai on April 13. Subsequently, the short-listed candidates would need to go for a final interview a day later.

The move assumes significance as it indicates another step in the airlines plan to operate flights in India some time later this year. AirAsia, whos boss Tony Fernandes had announced that the company had roped in a Chennai boy to head India JV airline, has plans to operate from Chennai, connecting it to smaller cities in the country.

AirAsia Group head of flight attendants, Suhaila Hassan, said, We welcome aspiring flight attendants to come to our walk-in interview. We are steadfast in our belief in equal opportunity and meritocracy.
