Caliber Point will focus on the global healthcare industry and provide claims processing services. Mr Ashok Bildikar, who has been appointed the president of Caliber Point, stated that the BPO subsidiary has already bagged multi-year deals exceeding $10 million (approximately Rs 45 crore) to manage over 25 million claims per annum from two US-based companies.
Hexaware CEO Rusi Brij, said that Caliber Point was a natural extension of Hexawares businesses. He said, the focus sector of this BPO subsidiary was selected after considerable deliberation. Healthcare is a growing sector in North America where almost eight billion claims are processed annually.
Caliber Point has also initiated discussions with some of Hexawares existing clients in the insurance sector for business process outsourcing.
The current team of Caliber Point is 350, which is expected to double by the end of this year. The BPO outfit will operate from a newly acquired premise in Mumbai. The centre would operate in three shifts on a seating capacity of 256 per shift for the current requirement. Caliber Point is also exploring opportunities in the HR BPO space. Mr Bildikar added that Caliber Points differentiation would be based on its domain expertise in claims processing, proprietary process automation tools and relationships with key channel partners in US.
