Hexaware Bags Maintenance Contract From Lufthansa

Hexaware Technologies, a Chennai-based software company listed on Indian and London stock exchanges, has bagged a contract from German company Lufthansa Systems for providing maintenance services over a period of three years.

Hexaware has become the largest offshore partner of Lufthansa systems, the wholly-owned information technology (IT) subsidiary of Germanys Lufthansa group.

The deal is aimed at maintenance of Lufthansa Systems mainframe-based applications like ticketing, check-in and inventory.

This win has further consolidated Hexawares position as a leading offshore provider of mission critical application support services to the quality-conscious German industry, president, Hexaware Technologies, Sunil Surya said.

He, however, did not disclose the size of the deal but said that Lufthansa Systems is an existing client of Hexaware. Hexaware is already working with Lufthansa Systems for two other maintenance contracts in CRM and cargo.

Hexaware has strong expertise in key mainframe application technologies to enable us to provide better service to our customers, vice president, airline services, Lufthansa Systems, Dirk John said.
