HCL opens tech hub in Manesar

Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda inaugurated the Technology Hub of HCL, at IMT Manesar on Friday.

The hub is a green and intelligent facility created over an area of 9 lakh square feet. The facility will employ over 3,200 persons and generate export revenue to the tune of Rs 1,000 crore. It would also include a training facility for 1,000 persons at any given point of time. The present facility is one of the hubs that has been created by HCL at various locations and two new Hubs are also coming up at Bangalore and Chennai.

Rajeev Arora, managing director, Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation informed that it had allotted 10 acre to HCL for setting up the hub under the Campus Development Scheme in 2006. He added HSIDIC had allotted plots to number of software & ITeS companies like, Agilent & Bharti, who have already commenced operations from the site and that number of other companies like, Shapoorji Palloonji, Anant Raj, Vighneshwara etc. were also likely to commence business in a short while. These projects would involve an investment of Rs 4,000 crore.
