HCL Infosystems Ltd, the $2.7-billion information enabling & system integration company, wants to offerhardware and networking career development courses at its career development centres in association with state technical schools like industrial training institutes (ITIs), according to executive vice-president Rajendra Kumar.

"We would like to look into the possibilities of forming an association with technical institutes if such a proposal comes from the government," Kumar said. HCL Infosystems on Thursday launched its 6th career development centre in Kolkata.

Kumar said the company would like to have 100 such centres across the country within the next 12-15 months. Out of that, 25 centres will be in eastern India with Kolkata's share being 10.
