The apex industry chamber Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (Ficci) is getting a facelift to emphasise both the internal and the external changes it has undergone in lest six-seven years.

The new face of Ficci will be unveiled on November 25 with an improvised logo to suit the changed character of Ficci.

It is not just change in logo, it is complete restructuring of Ficci to face the new challenges of global economic order, Ficci president AC Muthiah told FE from Moscow.

A Ficci CEO delegation led by Dr Muthiah is in Russia accompanying Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The organisation has undergone major changes since mid-1990s, when the current logo was launched. Today, we have changed both domestically as well as internationally. For the first time we have offices in Mumbai and Chennai to help our associate chambers in the region and during this period Ficci offices were opened in the US, the UK and China. The time has come to give expression to this continuity and change, hence a new logo which is an extension of the current one, Ficci secretary general Amit Mitra said.
