The awards will represent the Indian business travellers choice of most preferred business hotels, destinations, airlines and car rentals. Business travellers from around the country will decide on the winners based on a nationwide survey.
The main categories for the awards are airlines, hotels, meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) destinations and car rentals.
With business travel coming of age, the feBusiness Traveller feels that the time has come to encourage further development and reward consistent performance in the above main areas that facilitate business travel with an aim to uplift the overall quality levels of service.
Through these awards, the magazine aims to be the voice of the consumer, the business traveller who is finally the end-user of all the products on offer.
The airlines awards have been broken up into domestic and international for the respective carriers operating in India under best business class, best economy class, best service (airport & in-flight) and best first class for international airlines.
The hotel segment has been bifurcated into two segments to ensure a level playing field for polling across various cities within India.
The segments under this category are best leisure hotel (internatio-nal and domestic), best business hotel (international, domestic).
For the MICE category, awards will be given for best MICE destinations (domestic and international), and under car rentals, an award has been instituted to recognise the best car rental agency in India.
As part of the nationwide polling process, polling forms have been sent across the country with every copy of FE and the January issue of the feBusiness Traveller.
The entries will then be tabulated and the data will be validated by a process audit, which will be conducted by Ernst & Young to finally arrive at the winners in each category.
