Exhibition On Climate Tech Begins Today

As many as nine Canadian clean energy technology companies will showcase their innovative technologies and explore business opportunities at the Climate Technology Bazaar beginning here on Monday.

The largest contingent of private sector partners of any country forming part of the Canada-India Business Mission 2003 focuses on climate change and clean energy technology solutions, advisor trade, Saroj Mishra of the Canadian embassy told FE on Saturday.

Mr Mishra who was here to attend an international conference on climate change said, Canadian environmental and energy industries have gained international recognition for leadership in energy, biomass, energy efficiency, alternative transportation fuels, air quality services and engineering and consulting services.

Through this mission, Canada intends to build on it relationship with India by developing greater collaboration between the government, industry and both the countries.

The Canadian presence at the fair will be led by minister for natural resources Herb Dhaliwal.

Mr Dhaliwal will be accompanied by representatives of 45 Canadian companies specialising in the area.
