Nitish Kumar Lalu Prasad Ram Vilas Paswan None of the above. There seems to be one undisputed winner in the peoples minds Election Commission legal advisor KJ Rao.

With the last vote being cast on Saturday, the general perception in the state is that of this election being one of the most peaceful, free and fair in Bihars recent past. And the credit is being given to the effective use of paramilitary forces and the 63-year-old Rao, whom the EC backed completely throughout, despite certain complaints by the Congress and RJD.

Even Ramadheer Maanji in Mokameh seems to have come under the Rao phenomenon. Earlier, due to fear of upper caste goons, we could not vote. But this time I will vote, he says.

Walk on the streets of Patna and you can only walk as the EC has prohibited any vehicle from plying during voting time you hear people echoing similar views.

KJ Rao should be made the chief minister, says an awe-struck Nagarmal Bajoria, more popularly known as Dharti Pakkad, who features in the Guinness Book of World Records for having contested elections a record 279 times! However, the 79-year-old Bajoria, who on Saturday cast his vote in Patna West, is not contesting this time. I am not contesting as a mark of protest against the politicians imposing unnecessary elections on the people, he says.
