Whats your beef

Is it a typographic error or a statisticians urge to stick to the facts It is hard to say what is the real reason why beef has suddenly found its way into the statistical table of the national account statistics prepared by the CSO. The table, on the value of output in the livestock sector in the most recent edition, indicates that the value of beef produced in the country has gone up from R2,893 crore in 2004-05 to R3,388 crore in 2009-10 in real terms. Usually, most statistical volumes prefer to use the term buffalo meat rather than beef, which is banned in most states of the country except for Kerala, West Bengal and the northeastern states.
