The add-on will step up the use of e-mail in Indian languages, Kaveri Communications managing director KN Harikumar said.
E-tapaal has pinned its hopes on the Kerala governments recently launched Akshaya, the crossing-the-digital-divide project targeting computer literacy for one in each family, Mr Harikumar told a press conference at the launch of e-tapaal in Malayalam. The portal already offers e-mail facility in Kannada, Telugu and English.
This will be soon extended to all other Indian languages, Mr Harikumar, who was also the former editor of The Deccan Herald, said.
For corporate clients, Kaveri Communications offers e-mail outsourcing solutions supported by two IBM Intel servers configured in full back-up mode.
