Members of Indian Medical Association have threatened to launch an indefinite agitation to demand the arrest of the assailants who killed Dr. Anurag Mittal three days ago.

The Kanpur-based gastroenterologist was killed by unidentified men when he was travelling by train to Delhi Monday night. The doctors have warned to launch the strike if the assailants are not arrested in the next three days, sources in IMA said.

Police suspect that the assailants robbed the doctor before killing him. His body was found from the tracks near Hathras railway station.

The railway police and Special Task Force are investigating the case.
