The recent decisions by the Allahabad High Court scrapping land allotments by the Greater Nodia Authority to the developers have left both the developers and the consumers in a limbo. Both feel they are now caught in a sticky situation from where they can neither back-off nor continue forward. To tackle the situation, both have decided to file a petition before the Allahabad High Court demanding to become a party in the cases which will be heard together by the court on July 26. Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association (Credai) NCR president Pankaj Bajaj said: ?We are talking to the Authority for a refund. Along with this, all the impacted 11 builders have decided to file a petition to become a party in these cases.?

“We have met with the GNIDA though it is too early to come out and say what our next step will be. But we are discussing details of approaching the Supreme Court against the high court order. We will become a party to the case and approach the SC, along with all buyers and developers in the area, seeking relief,” said Getamber Anand, national vice-president of the Credai. “We hope that the SC will take a holistic view of the matter, considering the voice of each stakeholder and give us directions to amicably resolve the issue,” he added.

Also, Noida Extension flat buyers’ welfare association president RP Tyagi said that they were anxiously waiting for the decision to come as they were worst impacted.

On Wednesday, the Allahabad High Court decided to postpone its verdict on the legality of land acquisition in two more villages. There are also other villages ? Iteda, Roja Yaqubpur and Bisarakh Jalalpur – whose hearing is scheduled for July 26.
