Realty prices need not always have a strong correlation (?The plot thickens?, March 20) with stock prices. As your editorial points out, it is true that land scarcity is artificial and there are vested landed interests preventing a glut. But land is not a commodity that can be analysed easily in terms of overall demand and supply. In fact, it shows the widest ranging differential pricing of all assets in the world, based on desirables such as location. Some desirables can even be generated, such as prestige, via good marketing.
