Dabur set to double sales, profit by FY10

Dabur India Ltd (DIL) on Wednesday said it expected to double its sales and profit revenue by the end of fiscal 2009-10 through acquisition and innovation. It also stressed it will maintain a balanced portfolio of business.

Dabur, however, has had a chequered past in sales and profit growth. Its net sales in fiscal 2002-03 were Rs 1080 crore which dipped to 997.8 crore in 2003-4 registering a decline of 10.22%. In 2004-05, however, its sales increased by Rs 122 crore, up 10.89%.

In terms of net profits, Dabur has grown from Rs 84.9 crore in 2003 to 101.14 crore in 2004 securing a growth rate of around 15%. In 2005, its profit increased to 148 crore, growth rate being around 65%.
