Central Vigilance Commissioner P Shankar and vigilance commissioner HJ Dora will be interacting with the chief executives and vigilance officials of public sector banks and financial institutions in Mumbai on Saturday.

The meeting has been organised by the Indian Banks Association for an exchange of views and perceptions on vigilance management with Mr Shankar and Mr Dora, who have taken charge only recently.

Banking industry sources opine that the meeting is significant in view of Mr Doras recent statement that cases pertaining to the banking sector form nearly 45 per cent of the total vigilance cases being handled by the CVC.
