LMW Posts Rs 9.9 Cr Profit in Q3
Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (LMW) has reported net sales of Rs 180.92 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year compared to Rs 140.89 crore in the same quarter last year. Net profit is up at Rs 9.99 crore (Rs 5.98 crore). Staff cost Rs 31.41 crore (Rs 16.06 cr), depreciation Rs 26.90 crore (Rs 7.12 crore) and interest Rs 4.84 crore (Rs 1.81 cr) have gone up substantially owing to the merger of Textool Company Ltd with LMW effective from April 1, 2003.
SFL Net Up 19%
Sundram Fasteners Ltd (SFL) has witnessed a 19 per cent growth in net profit for the three-month period ended December 2003. The net profit during this period was Rs 12.03 crore (Rs 10.03 crore). There was a 23 per cent growth in net sales this period and was at Rs 139.46 crore (Rs 113.30 crore). Interest dropped to Rs 88 lakh (Rs 1.50 crore). Depreciation charges increased to Rs 3.66 crore (Rs 3.34 crore).
SSI Net Rs 3.83 Cr
SSI Limited has posted a net profit Rs 3.83 crore for the first quarter ended December, 2003 as against a profit of Rs 15.98 lakhs during the same period the previous year. Its income stood at Rs 10.65 crore (Rs 58.51 crore) The interest burden reduced to Rs 81.12 lakhs (Rs 2.18 crore) while the depreciation has come down to Rs 1.23 crore (Rs 16.47 crore) during the quarter ended December 31, 2003.
MRO TEK Net Up 73%
MRO TEK has posted a 73 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 2.77 crore for the quarter ended December 2003, compared to Rs 1.60 crore posted during the corresponding period last fiscal. Income from operations stood at Rs 26.17 crore (Rs 25.60 crore), up by 2.2 per cent. The company has also doubled its export business, which is mainly done in the Asia Pacific region, said a company press release.
Opto Circuits Net At Rs 3.04 Cr
Opto Circuits India Limited has posted a net profit of Rs 3.04 crore for the quarter ended December 2003, up by 103.04 per cent compared to Rs 1.49 crore posted during the corresponding period last fiscal. The company's sales at Rs 13.9 crore recorded a jump of 59.5 per cent from the corresponding quarter last fiscal, a company release has said.
