LG to focus on LED TV

LG said it plans to give a push to its LED TV sales by launching more advanced versions of it in 2010 and expects to sell up to 3 lakh units by the end of next year. LED TV is one of the focused areas of the company. We will launch more advanced ones in the first half of 2010, LG Electronics India head of sales Amitabh Tiwari said.

Spice Digital tie-up

Parwanoo based Spice Digital, a leading Mobile VAS solutions provider has tied up with MTNL to offer innovative 3G VAS services on MTNLs 3G network in Delhi. The announcement was made at a press conference hosted by RSP Sinha, chairman and managing director, MTNL in Delhi on Wednesday. This launch makes Spice Digital the first VAS provider in the country to introduce 3G VAS in the telecom market.

Cloud computing threat

According to the Trend Micro 2010 future threat report, cloud computing and virtualisation, while offering significant benefits and cost-savings, move servers outside the traditional security perimeter and expand the playing field for cyber criminals.

VLCC to invest Rs 400 cr

Vandana Luthra Curls and Curves (VLCC) plans to invest Rs 400 crore, which would fund its expansion activities and acquisition of three small-sized firms, a top official said. "We are investing Rs 400 crore for expanding our operations and for some major acquisitions.
