The Park, New Delhi, is organising a chocolate promotion at Portico till December 27. The promo will feature the famous Flurys chocolates made from traditional Swiss recipes. The range of delights includes praline, burnt almond, rum truffle, valencia, soft nougat and liqueur chocolates in addition to chocolate based desserts, chocolate kahlua mousse, hot chocolate souffle, and fancy chocolates shaped like Santa Claus.

At the Gourmet Shoppe, in the Oberoi Hotel, New Delhi, you can find all kinds of traditional goodies like a gingerbread house, choco Santas and angels, Christmas cookies, plum puddings and cakes and mince pies. Roast turkey and goose liver terrine add a savoury accent to this mouthwatering picture. Regular and premium hampers can also be snapped up. The spreads are available from December 16 onwards.

The Metropolitan has a list of Christmas specials. On offer are boxes of chocolates (12 pieces for Rs 150, 24 pieces for Rs 275), minced eggless fruit pies (60 grams, Rs 50), Xmas pudding (200 grams, Rs 100), Xmas cake with almond icing (1 kg, Rs 450), stollen with marzipan (800 grams, Rs 300), Yule log (1 kg, Rs 400), chocolate Santas (Rs 400), Xmas tree cake with kiwi fruit (Rs 400), star-shaped almond cake (Rs 400) and Xmas gift hampers (Rs 1,500 each).

Under the supervision of Chef Manisha Bhasin, guests mixed a wide assortment of nuts and fruits in fine spirits, according to directions from Chef Bhasins recipe book. The mixture was then left to soak in the spirits. From today onwards, cakes made out of the mixture will be available at the Marriotts Mithai Shop.
