Citigroup Sees $1.5 Billion In Charges

Citigroup Inc. said it would take $1.5 billion in charges in Q4 to cover the costs of settling the massive conflict-of-interest probe into brokers and for increased credit losses. It said the charges would cover costs associated with regulatory inquiries into its relationship with Enron Corp. and related private litigation. (Reuters)
