CBI Raid On Telecom Consultant

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has raided the premises belonging to Nirvana Management Group and its promoter Rajeev Gupta, who is in the field of offering consulting services to the telecom equipment companies for bidding in equipment tenders floated by the public sector telecom service providers. Sources said that Mr Gupta has also been questioned by the investigation agency. A number of senior government officials as well as major equipment suppliers could also come under the scanner of the agency. CBI has also visited Motorola India office in Gurgaon on Saturday.

All information requested for by the CBI was provided to the visiting team, in accordance with Motorolas principle of ethics and integrity in business, we have, and will extend all co-operation to the investigating authorities, Motorola India said in a faxed response to a query from eFE.
