Carrier Aircon Receives Rs 100-cr Export Order

Carrier India subsidiary Carrier Refrigeration has bagged an order worth over Rs 100 crore ($23 million) from one of its key customers in the US. The order will be serviced over a two year period. According to a statement from the company, Carrier will supply bottle coolers and glass door merchandisers to a key global customer in the beverage and commercial refrigeration market in the US. The products to be exported will be manufactured at Carriers Bangalore facility.

Carrier India chairman and managing director Neville Moos said, This important win is a reflection of the global strength, scale and commitment that Carrier brings to India. This contract is a matter of pride and satisfaction for all our associates here in India.

Carrier has completed the initial phase of the order and regular supplies have commenced from the Bangalore facility, the company statement said.

Mr Moos added, This order provides for significant increases in capacity utilisation at our plant and positions the company well for the future.
