Celebrations to commemorate Tata Steel's completion of 100 years of incorporation will be a special attraction of the Canvas India-2007 mega trade fair. The nine-day fair, which set to attract a large number of automobile, FMCG, telecom, information technology, electronic goods and real estate companies, starts here from October 5.

Promoted by the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCC&I), the fair will be organised by Bangalore-based corporate trade fair specialist Concern (India) Shows Pvt Ltd. There will be around 500 stalls.

"Automobile and real estate would be our main foci this time," said Concern spokesperson Jyoti Kumar and added that 98% of the stalls had already been sold out.

A number of consumer durable companies are expected to take part in the fair as it is being organised just before the Durga puja.

According to SCC&I general secretary Suresh Sonthalia, publicity campaigns will soon be launched to make the fair a success. The chamber has been promoting this fair since 2004
