Bruce Benjamin to head Delhi airport revamp

As in the case of its upcoming new international airport at Hyderabad, infrastructure major GMR Group, is again relying on the expertise of expatriates to build the development plan of the Delhi airport.

GMR Group recently won the bid to revamp the Delhi airports. The group has now nominated Bruce Benjamin to head the Delhi airport modernization project.

Benjamin, who was hitherto spearheading entire development work at the GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) for GMR will now be the project head of the newly formed company Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), officials at GHIAL said.

Prior to working with the GMR group, Benjamin was working for over 12 years with Hong Kong International Airport as head of project services.

Meanwhile, another expatriate from Hong Kong International Airport P Sripathy has also joined GHIAL in Hyderabad. In addition to these, there are over 30 expatriates working for the company and more are expected to join soon.
