With the kidnapping of another schoolboy in Bihar by unidentified people, BJP said that while crime was increasing in Bihar, the government was only concentrating on diverting attention by raking up the Godhra issue.

Murders, dacoity, kidnappings, looting, cheating, extortion is the order of the day in Bihar. There are no askers and not tellers, and the RJD government gives no explanation for its 15-year performance, said former BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday.

Neither the Bihar government not the Congress has anything to say about issues like bijli, sarak, pani, shiksha, rozgar (power, roads, water. education or the economy), he said. Instead, it is trying to divert peoples attention from the dismal state of affairs in Bihar by using the UC Banerjee report on Godhra train blaze, Mr Naidu told mediapersons, adding that the Congress too could not escape responsibility for what is happening in that state.

There is no RJD in Bihar without Congress and no Congress in the Centre without RJD, he stated.

Meanwhile, schoolchildren in Bihar continued their protest against the kidnapping of Kislay Kumar, a student of Delhi Public School, Patna, a week ago even as another student, Ravi Kant, a student of ninth standard in DAV Public School in Biharsharif town, was kidnapped while boarding the school bus, police said. Students launched a relay fast in Patna and urged President, APJ Abdul Kalam to intervene and secure the students release.
