Bajaj Allianz H1 Profit Zooms 115%

Net profit of Bajaj Allianz, the largest domestic private non-life insurer has spurted 115 per cent to Rs 15.3 crore in the first half of the current fiscal.

The companys gross premium for the period is pegged at Rs Rs 218 crore, up 70 per cent over the previous years Rs 128 crore. Announcing the results, chairman Rahul Bajaj said the company managed to achieve this by balancing the portfolio in terms of retail and corporate business.

The company has also announced various plans to maintain its leadership position. The company is planning to widen its distribution network substantially.
