The solutions are aimed at the building design, manufacturing and geographic information systems (GIS) industry.
Addressing the media, Autodesk regional director for South Asia Pacific Andre Pravas said, the company was pursuing a PLM strategy that would position its products and offering across all the categories right from inception to completion including digital data creation/authoring, managing and collaboration, communication/transport, integration and finally the use.
The company is also set to introduce a new format for creation of digital designs - DWF (Design Web Format) which is expected to function as the dynamic PDF format for the design industry.
When a designer wants to share his design created in digital format, he always runs the risk of it being stolen or copied from. In the case of DWF this will function more on the lines of the PDF format where the information/content can be freely shared but no changes can be made to it, he said.
Autodesk is moving more towards products and solutions for creating a collaborative environment and enable digital data sharing, Mr Pravaz added.
