One lesson that is clear from a sustained observation over the years of any peace process (?Jaipur blasts?, May 15) is that trading petty and ill-informed recriminations is always self-defeating. Another, and more important observation in the land of Mahatma Gandhi, is that real courage consists of pursuing peace humanely even under conditions of severe strain placed on the process of trust establishment. This is the challenge. As Nehru asked in his Midnight speech of August 15, 1947, are we ?brave enough? for a future of freedom?
