Aptech leads IT training in China for 3rd year in a row

The IT education and training major Aptech has maintained its numero uno position for its IT training in China for the third consecutive year, according to China Centre for Information Industry Development (CCID) report. The companys market share has doubled to 15% in 2004.

Aptech achieved the ranking ahead of other players including Science Institute of Software (10.3%) and NIIT (7.9%). Over 52,000 students enrolled for Aptechs career courses throughout 150 Aptech centres in China.

According to the company, the size of Chinese market has grown approximately 16% from 2.8 billion RMB in 2003 to 3.35 billion RMB in 2004 ($100 = 830 RMB).

The CCID, which is part of the ministry of information industry, proclaims BeiDa Aptech as the number one brand in China in the IT training segment. The company started its operations in China in 2000 through its joint venture - Aptech Beida Jadebird IT Co. Ltd, an affiliate of Beijing University.
