Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation energy ministers have expressed a very strong desire to cooperate in general on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, Australian industry minister Ian Macfarlane said.

The question of setting up a regional trading system for carbon dioxide emissions hasnt yet been raised in meetings so far this week, Macfarlane told reporters at a meeting of energy ministers of the 21-member Apec group in Darwin, Australia. The measures individual economies take is up to them,he said.
