AHA Gives Apollo Hospitals Global Recognition

The American Heart Association (AHA) has accorded recognition to Apollo Hospitals as an international training organisation to provide emergency cardiovascular care to the people of India. Apollo Hospitals is the first organisation to receive this recognition, according to a press release.

As part of this recognition, Apollo Hospitals is now authorised to use American Heart Association’s guidelines and protocols to provide emergency care and also set up training centres in India.

These training centres will provide programmes in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support and paediatric advanced life support and the successful candidates will be eligible for American Heart Association certification.

AHA sets the protocols for emergency cardiovascular care and training.

The protocols are globally accepted and are implemented uniformly across the US and is mandatory for all those involved in emergency care to be trained and certified by the Association.
