Adani Power scrip ended at a 10-month high after the company announced that it has emerged as the largest private power producer in India.

"Adani Power, a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises and part of the Adani Group, a global integrated infrastructure player, on Friday announced the commissioning of the fourth unit of 660 megawatts (MW) at its power plant at Tiroda in Maharashtra, thus emerging as the largest private power producer in India with an overall installed capacity of 8,620 MW," the company said in an exchange release on Friday.

BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty throughout the day. In choppy trade, it declined to day's low of 22,369.28 before settling at 22,509.07, a loss of 42.42 points or 0.19 per cent from its previous close (PTI)

The scrip ended 4.94% higher at Rs 54.20 on the BSE Sensex.
