Wipro Tech in pact with TI

Wipro Technologies on Tuesday announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that it has tied up with Texas Instruments (TI) to offer services on TIs OMAP processors. The services, which include Linux baseport, Android operating system porting on hardware platforms, middleware, third-party component integration, application development, and operator customisation, aim to address the commercialisation requirements for OEMs designing on Android, ensuring fast time to market.

Jet Airways new route

Jet Airways will commence daily non-stop flights from Mumbai to Johannesburg from April 14, 2010. The airline will introduce services to South Africa by using a new Airbus 330-200 aircraft. This is the first time that Jet Airways is adding destinations in Africa on its international route.

CSI management portal

Computer Society of India (CSI), the largest association of IT professionals in the country, launched the CSI knowledge management portal on Tuesday. The portal would be the repository of intellectual capital for IT professionals and will allow them to discuss, debate and exchange information on technical and management issues enabling competency development, according to a release.
