The Railway Ministry plans to use a public-private partnership model to implement the East-West dedicated freight corridor, a 2,100 km project requiring over Rs 1 lakh crore investments. The project will be divided into smaller sections and use a hybrid annuity model, with multiple sections being awarded simultaneously to reduce delays and ensure quality work.
