BCCI downgraded Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma from A+ to B category in their central contracts retainer for this year, while completely eliminating the A+ category. Only three players- Jasprit Bumrah, Shubman Gill, and Ravindra Jadeja remain in the A category. The revised contracts fee have not been made public, but it is estimated that Kohli and Rohit will now receive ₹3 crore from the BCCI.
