IATA welcomed the Civil Aviation Ministry’s decision to defer a proposed capacity reduction at Mumbai’s CSIA during Terminal 1 redevelopment and seek a revised plan after consulting stakeholders. It urged airport operator MIAL and airlines to agree on a transition based on transparent capacity assessments, adequate preparation time and measures to limit disruption to passengers.
