For the fortnight beginning October 16, the government cut the windfall tax on diesel exports to Rs 8.5 per litre from Rs 16, while raising the petrol export duty to Rs 2.5 from Rs 0.5. The ATF duty remains Rs 10.5 per litre, and domestic petrol and diesel excise rates are unchanged. Export duties are reviewed every two weeks.
