Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the 298-km Nimmu-Padum-Darcha road in Ladakh by video conference on Thursday, as part of development projects worth about Rs 3,350 crore. The BRO-built route links Leh’s Nimmu with Darcha in Himachal Pradesh via the Zanskar Valley. It provides a shorter alternative to existing highways, improving access for residents, trade and the armed forces.
