Amazon is reportedly preparing to cut fewer than 1,000 corporate jobs, mainly in its Stores unit, with employees affected in the US, India and UK. The cuts follow 30,000 job reductions since last year and coincide with Prime Big Deal Days promotions. Amazon said the restructuring is intended to better support business priorities. Jeff Bezos has attributed earlier cuts to pandemic-era over-hiring.
