Direct tax collection for the current financial year has surpassed the projected target of 9%, with a growth of 9.4% till February 10. The total collection of Rs 19.43 lakh crore is attributed to a decline in refunds and compliance campaigns, but tax relief measures have caused a slowdown in collections.
