Government’s wheat procurement for 2026-27 rabi marketing season has reached 35.41 MT, exceeding the target of 34.6 MT. This is 18% higher than the previous year, with major contributions from Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. The aim is to bolster stock and ensure supplies under the public distribution system.
