Coal supplies to power plants have stabilised, with October deliveries averaging 2.49 million tonnes daily—above the 2.37 million-tonne plan on nine of the first 10 days—as rail loading increased 10% from September. Stock depletion slowed sharply, but 107 of 191 monitored plants still had five days or less of coal on October 10, making continued deliveries critical.
