India’s crude oil imports from Russia surged in March to 5.3 billion euros, driven by a rise in oil prices and a doubling of volumes. This was reported by CREA, which revealed that India was the second-largest buyer of Russian fossil fuels during this time. The increase was due to a one-month sanctions waiver from the US, easing tensions with Iran.
