UltraTech Cement Ltd. has invested Rs 1,800 crore to launch Ultravolt, a wires and cables business, with the goal of becoming a top two player in the segment in five years. While cement will remain the main earnings driver, analysts see potential for Ultravolt to become a valuable secondary business.
