Outgoing US President Barack Obama on Wednesday night congratulated President-elect Donald Trump for the latter’s stunning victory in US Presidential election 2016 and said “America needs sense of unity and inclusion”. Obama said that he will ensure a smooth and peaceful transition of power even as he underlined the “serious differences” between him and Trump. Commenting on poll results, he said “we all are rooting for Trump’s success”. He also hailed Hillary Clinton, saying her nomination was “historic”. Extending and invitation to Trump to White House, Obama pitched for “Americans first”. “Not democrats or republicans, Americans first. We are all on one team,” he said. Terming the campaign as “a long and hard fought” one, Obama said “we all want what is best for America.”
