Former California governor and Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger took to the social media today following US President Donald Trump’s decision to pull US out of the Paris Climate agreement. Schwarzenegger in a video lambasted the US President’s decision of withdrawing from the climate pact. Trump, yesterday had announced a pull out from the accord sighting reasons that it is disadvantageous for the US economy and the American people. Criticizing his stand against Trump’s decision Arnold said, ” My message to you, Mr President is that, as a public servant, and especially as a president, your first and most important responsibility is to protect the people.”
The Terminator fame actor said, ”Some of us know what a clean energy future looks like. And it’s not scary.”. Schwarzenegger who has been an advocate of environmental causes raised his concern of what withdrawing from the pact would mean for the country. In his video, he can be seen pleading to the President to choose the best option for the future.

Donald Trump had to face a major backlash from leaders around the world for his decision of withdrawing from the pact which has been signed by 190 countries. According to PTI, California Governor Jerry Brown called Trump’s decision possibly “tragic” and a step “backwards” for the US. However, by withdrawing the US from the climate deal, Trump has fulfilled his major campaign promise and overturned the major foreign policy accomplishment of his predecessor Barack Obama.
