London underground train blast: A blast on a London underground train left some passengers injured according to Metro online news report. According to Reuters, police are aware of the blast that happened at Parsons Green station in West London. Officers have been rushed to the spot.

10:00 PM: Scotland Yard’s counter-terrorism squad, SO15, has taken the lead in the investigation from the transport police, as per a PTI report.

09:30 PM: Britain Prime Minister Theresa May said the attack was “clearly intended to cause significant harm”, as per PTI.

09:00 PM: According to Reuters it was a home-made bomb that exploded and injured 22 people in London on Friday

08:30 PM: US President Donald Trump has called for a “tougher and more specific” US travel ban after a homemade bomb exploded on a London train, reported Associated Press.

08:00 PM: British Prime Minister Theresa May said on Friday it was not helpful for anyone to speculate on investigations after US President Donald Trump tweeted that the culprits behind a train bombing had been “in the sights” of the police, reported Reuters.

7:26 PM: IED used in attack, say police; 22 injured, as per report.

7:24 PM: A report by AFP has indicated that many passengers have been badly burnt as there was a fireball that hurtled towards passengers and engulfed them. Not only did their faces get burned, many had their hair in flames.

6:14 PM:  Former UK PM David Cameron took to Twitter and offer his grief over the incident.


5:55 PM: As per Sky News sources, the device found at the Parson Green station was attached to a timer.

5:43 PM: As per Guardian report, the Scotland Yard has confirmed that there has been no arrest so far. It said,”So far there have been no arrests. We believe the fire was caused by the detonation of an improvised device, which is being forensically examined.”

5:30 PM: As per Guardian report, the mayor of London, Sadiq Khan said,”There is a manhunt underway as we speak.”

5:22 PM: As per the Guardian report, Detectives are examining CCTV from the London underground network to determine where those behind the attack entered and exited the tube system.

5:07 PM: As per CNN sources, it’s clear device was intended to cause much greater damage, but cautions that it’s still in preliminary stages of investigation.
