ISIS terrorists may have never felt the terror themselves. But they would dare not forget what the Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has vowed to do to one of their affiliates. Duterte, who is known for speaking his heart out and keeping his words, has launched a sort of war against drug dealers in the country, in which about 2,000 people have been killed so far. Last week’s bombing in Davao, a city where Duterte was mayor for over two decades, forced him to declare a state of emergency and go after the militants. The bombing was carried out of ISIS-linked Abu Sayyaf.
Speaking at an event in Laos on Monday night, where he is attending the ASEAN Summit, Duterte warned the militants that he would “eat” them alive with vinegar and salt if they are caught.
“If I have to face them, you know I can eat humans,” he was quoted as saying, to an audience that reportedly included young children. “I will really open up your body. Just give me vinegar and salt, and I will eat you,” the Philippines President was quoted as saying by Philippine Daily Inquirer. Duterto further said: “Go ahead. Set off bombs. Time will come when I will eat you in front of the people…I will devour you.”
Recently, the Philippines President has been in the news for using foul language against important international personality, including the US President Barack Obama and Pope Francis.
