Hostage crisis in Newcastle: The man with a knife who was holding employees at a job centre hostage in Newcastle in northeast England, is now the only person in the building and all the hostages have been released, reported AFP. Police in Newcastle say they believe all hostages released, “man concerned” only person left in building, reported AFP. When the hostages were still inside, Northumbria Police said in a statement that “Specialist negotiators are at the scene.” There were no report of injuries according to police. The identity of the man and his intention are not known yet. According to news reports, roads around the job centre are closed down and public is advised not go that area. There is heavy police presence in the area presently.
